The suspect was arrested by officers close to 3 p.m. today, 27 January, in the Crewe Road area in connection with the shooting of a man in Hirst Road, Savannah, on Thursday 19 January 2012.

The arrest took place after the suspect’s car was pursued by police for a short distance. A police vehicle was damaged in the incident. No-one was injured.

Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

According to police, the victim in the shooting incident says it occurred near the Countryside shopping plaza in the afternoon.  The victim stated he flagged down a dark blue small Hyundai vehicle, which was driven by a man with dreadlocks.
