• WestStar TV Customers

    A power failure at Television Centre caused outages for WestStar cable customers today (Wednesday, 16 May). WestStar's headend is located in the main plant at Television Centre which lost both it's main power and back-up power around 11:30 a.m. Engineers worked alongside Corporate Electric to get services back up as quickly as possible once power was restored. The outage also caused WestStar to lose internet and phone service for a short period this afternoon. All services were restored by around 1:30 p.m.

Kite surfers ride high out east

Usually when world class athletes touch these shores, we make a big deal out of it.

But this week a group of the world’s best kite surfers arrive and quietly host a camp out east and after being invited our cameras journey out to catch some of the cool beach vibes.

As we found out they may have arrived quietly, but they are making major noise with their tricks and talent out east.

    WTF? Damo and the other guys are top pros but all I can see here is dangling...! These guys are capable of showing our sport off at its best so they should and you guys, the editors, should help!
