Prisoner escapes from hospital

PHOTO: Jeremy “Jerry” Claston Holness

Police have released the name and a picture of a man who escaped from police custody earlier today.

Jeremy “Jerry” Claston Holness, aged 30, escaped from his police guard at the Cayman Islands Hospital around 12:30pm today (Thursday, 19 July 2012).

Holness had been arrested yesterday (Wednesday, 18 July) on suspicion of burglary. He was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital in George Town earlier today when he complained of feeling unwell.

He is described as being 5’11” in height, weighing 185lbs. He has a light brown complexion, brown eyes and, although his head is shaven at present, his natural hair colour is black. He is not believed to be a danger to the public. However, anyone who sees this man, or knows of his present whereabouts, is urged to contact their nearest police station.

I would like to help look for this character but it is a bit difficult when the police don’t release a description and/or photo of this guy. Why even bother telling the public that there is a prisoner-at-large?
