Premier’s take on national vote

The premier says he is not in favour of a national vote. He says it will cause more headaches and cost than anything else. He’s referring to UDP backbencher Ellio Solomon’s idea of every person voting for 18 candidates.

The premier says it’s an idea he will not support as it will take away from each district’s identity. He also says he is creating a bi-partisan group to determine if one person two votes would work in the Cayman Islands.
