Opposition party People’s Progressive Movement and Independent MLA Ezzard Miller have decided to postpone the public meeting planned for George Town on Monday evening, 6th August.
Both say the postponement is “as a result of developments over the weekend and the Government’s apparent agreement to withdraw the payroll tax proposal.”
Government plans to hold a public meeting this evening at the Mary Miller Memorial Hall in Red Bay at 7:30pm to announce whether its decided to withdraw the Community Enhancement Fee and whether there are alternative revenue measures.
Once details of Government’s plans are known, the PPM and Mr. Miller say they will determine whether to reschedule their planned meeting.
