Accountant arrested, no charges

A local accountant has been arrested on suspicion of fraud-related offences.

Law firm Solomon Harris says the suspect is their former employee, 57-year-old Michael Levitt. Police say the suspect has now been released on bail after being interviewed by investigating officers.

Mr. Levitt has not been charged with any crime.

The firm says it is aggressively pursuing the fraud that appears to have been committed.

Solomon Harris also says none of its clients have been affected…as it was an internal issue only.

It is not known exactly how much money is involved in the fraud case.
