Broadcasting since 1992, CITN Cayman 27 provides the Cayman Islands community with news, sports, and entertainment. Our mission is to connect the Cayman Islands with the rest of the world by providing a wide range of programming on our free over-the-air network.
For nearly two decades, Cayman 27 has been dedicated to delivering reliable, timely and unbiased news. The news team, which is responsible for producing Daybreak, Cayman 27 News and a variety of local talk shows is headed up by News Director, April Cummings. She is a Caymanian with diverse experience in a number of different broadcast markets in the United States.
Cayman 27 News at 6 p.m. is a 30 minute broadcast focusing on local news, weather and sports.
Daybreak is a one-hour breakfast show with local news and weather focusing on current events, businesses, and other community happenings in the Cayman Islands.
Cayman 27’s live truck allows our team to report major news when and where it happens, such as elections, while our production capabilities enable us to produce live community events such as the Young Caymanian Leadership Awards.
Cayman 27 News airs 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Daybreak is weekdays at 7 a.m. all on Cayman 27 – WestStar channel 27, and in HD on WestStar channel 327.
Local talk shows – focusing on social issues, politics, sports, youth issues, arts and entertainment – air Mondays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. For additional programming information check our programming guide.
