 November 14, 2008.

A total of 345 buildings on the two sister islands have been cleared for electrical reconnection by planning inspectors.

Director Kenneth Ebank says teams have visited 894 of the 12 hundred  homes and buildings on Cayman Brac, of those 318 have been found to be structurally sound and approved for reconnection. In Little Cayman, 101 buildings have been inspected, 27 cleared, just over 100 still need to be assessed.

The eight Inspection teams scattered throughout Cayman Brac are assessing about 40 buildings a day, they are expected to be finished with the first round of site checks on Saturday.
