The focus of the trial on Tuesday (1 December) was on evidence collected at two main sites.
1. The area where the body of 21-year-old Sabrina Schirn was found
2. The cell of northward inmate Randy Martin, the man accused of killing Sabrina Schirn.
Officer Zohan Marin told the court she collected evidence from various places in the High Rock Drive area, including a nearby shed, the car the victim was driving and the prison farm.
Some of the items put in for forensic testing include: condom wrappers, a construction glove smeared with blood, a pair of black slippers, two machetes and a phone case.
Items taken from Martin’s cell include: a white marina, boots, a sock and a lock of hair believed to belong to the victim. As to what significance all these items have to the case –a forensics expert is expected to testify Wednesday (2 December) to explain.
*It was reported earlier that a grey marina was one of the items taken from Martin's cell. However, it was a "white" marina.
