POLICE: Man Hit By Car in Hospital

(Grand Cayman - CITN) -


Traffic Police are appealing for witnesses following a motor vehicle accident last night, Wednesday 2 December 2009, which left a 47 year man with head and arm injuries.

 

Police say at about 7.40 p.m., the man was crossing West Bay Road near to the Comfort Suites when he was struck by a Range Rover which was travelling towards George Town.

 

A police spokesperson says “the pedestrian sustained head and arm injuries and was conveyed to George Town Hospital where he is currently detained in a stable condition.”

 

The driver of the vehicle, a 33 year-old-man, was uninjured.

 

Inspector Adrian Barnett of the RCIPS Traffic department is appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact him on 946-6254.
