Police Accused of Harassment

(Grand Cayman - CITN) -

About two weeks ago News 27 reported an armed robbery at the Walkers Road Texaco Gas Station and police arresting four people on suspicion of the crime.

However, accusations of police harassment in the arrest have now surfaced. Two men complain they were mishandled by the RCIPS and they were innocent.

One of the men arrested say police raided his home and did not even show him a search warrant.

A complaint has been filed with the Internal Police Complaints Authority, and a police spokesperson says, “The matter will be fully investigated. It would be inappropriate to make any further comment at this time.”

News 27’s Kenneth Bryan has more details in the video above.
