Jazz Fest Controversy
Posted Wed, Dec 16th 2009, 18:18(Grand Cayman - CITN) -
The Liquor Licensing Board is investigating whether any laws were broken when Jazz Fest organizers extended the Alicia Keys concert past the midnight deadline.
News 27 contacted Ernesto Carter, Inspector of Licensed Premises, who says he can’t comment on the investigation without permission from the Department of Tourism –the group that put the Jazz Festival on.
Many people said they understood why the concert went over, but felt if Government can do it; the public should be able to do it as well.
