Health Service Authority officials are keeping a close eye on the H1N1 vaccine recall for children in the United States.
Dr. Kiran Kuman of Public Health tells News 27 it's not a safety issue or that the vaccine is dangerous for children who get it. But rather the potency levels dropped in a particular batch during shipping. He added that storage or manufacturing problems causes this to happen sometimes.
Cayman has not received the H1N1 vaccine as yet, but health officials say either later this month or early January the Cayman Islands should have the first shipment.
