(Grand Cayman - CITN) -

The trial of the two men accused in the murder of community activist Estella Scott-Roberts is now in its second day and there was dramatic testimony from police.

RCIPS homicide investigator, Marlon Bodden, took the stand late this afternoon (2 February). He told the court about a statement he took from one of the accused Kirkland Henry.

Mr. Bodden says the suspect told him it wasn't his idea and that he and Larry Ricketts were on West Bay Road in the parking lot next to Decker's the night Estella Scott-Roberts was murdered.

According to Mr. Bodden, Henry claimed that it was Ricketts’ idea to grab "the girl" and said they took her to the Dyke roads in West Bay and had sex with her.

Mr. Bodden also says Henry told police, that he and Ricketts later moved the car to another location also in the Dykes.

In Henry's statement to police, he says Ricketts said they had to kill Estella or police would find them. Henry also said Rickets put a bag over her head until she was dead and then he burned the car.
