Few days left to catch lobsters
Posted Thu, Feb 25th 2010, 19:59(Grand Cayman - CITN) -
Time is runing out if you plan on catching any lobster this season.
Starting on Monday, 1 March, lobster season officially ends. That means you can't take lobster from Cayman waters, purchase, receive or possess lobster taken from Cayman waters until the end of November.
If you're caught violating the Marine Conservation Law, you can be charted up to $500,000 and spend one year in jail.
There's also a chance you could also lose your boat or any equipment that was used in taking the lobster illegally.
