Green iguanas rights to be stripped

Green iguanas will soon be officially categorized as the pests many people already think they are.
The Legislative Assembly has agreed that the protected status of the green iguana should be lifted. Only the indigenous blue and rock iguanas will now be protected.
MLA Alden McLaughlin brought the motion before the house, saying the green iguana has become a major nuisance and a threat to local gardens. Once the law is amended, it will mean it is no longer an offense to kill or hunt the green ones.
That will also mean there's nothing to stop you roasting up a green iguana or two. In Belize they call it bamboo chicken.
