Woman finds large snake in garden
Posted Tue, Mar 2nd 2010, 19:34(Grand Cayman - CITN) -
Melinda McField was working in her garden when she found a snake almost 4 ft long in her vegetable patch.
The Department of Environmental Health says it was a Grand Cayman racer snake. DoE officers say they look scary, but they are not poisonous.
Officials say if you do see them, you don't have to kill them. The snakes actually eat very small animals and keep the rat population under control.
