FINALLY: Police Helicopter Arrives

It's a day many thought would never come. The RCIPS helicopter has actually landed in Cayman
The helicopter flew in from Cuba late this afternoon (4 March), after beginning its journey in Louisiana two days ago. It landed at the Owen Roberts International Airport where it will be permanently stationed. It's been a more than a 2-year wait for the helicopter to turn up, not to mention much discussion about whether it should have been purchased in the first place.
Police Commissioner David Baines says now it's here, it will be an extremely valuable tool. He also says training for officers who will operate the chopper begin right away.
Mr. Baines also says there's still some paperwork to be done before it can take to the sky, but says you can expect to see it in the air within a few weeks.
