Brush fire on Smith Road

Fire officers worked quickly to out a moving fire yesterday evening (8 March) on Smith Road.
According to fire officers the butt of a cigarette may have caused the small brush fire. The fire department was called when a resident couldn’t control the rapidly moving blaze. When fire crews arrived, officers put out the fire immediately.
