A new programme is launched for Royal Cayman Islands Police officers at the University College of the Cayman Islands (UCCI).

The police commissioner, president of UCCI and RCIPS officers attended the launch of the certificate programme yesterday (9 March).  It’s geared towards developing new police officers by getting them more prepared to serve the community.

When in class, officers will focus on many subjects including study skills, personal and interpersonal skills, computer literacy and the English language.

There will also be training in areas more specific to their jobs.
