Roadblocks causing angry motorists
Posted Thu, Mar 11th 2010, 19:07(Grand Cayman - CITN) -
Hundreds of motorists continue to be stopped as police attempt to get a grip on crime.
At one roadblock today (11 March), drivers with vehicles tinted too dark had to remove it right there on the spot. Licensing stickers and insurance coupons were also checked on.
Some drivers were also ticketed for driving vehicles that are not roadworthy.
Police tell News 27 the purpose of the ongoing roadblocks is to disrupt criminal activity, monitor known offenders, search for weapons, as well as crack down on vehicle offenses.
