Current & potential women entrepreneurs attend conference

Women entrepreneurs and those interested in starting a business attended the 4th Annual Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs conference yesterday (11 March).
The theme this year is "When opportunity knocks" because organizers say they recognize businesses are facing tough economic times.
The Department of Commerce and Investment invited Sheila Brooks of the United States as guest speaker. She was specifically asked to lend her insights into uncovering the blocks to business growth and cultivating a spirit of innovation even in lean economic times.
Local businesswomen were also invited to speak and a lively panel discussion was all part of the evenings events.
