As a parent you have the right to decide what your child watches on cable television. To ensure that you have control over their television viewing, use the "Parental Control Feature" as described below.

STEP 1. To use the parental control feature, use your cable remote controller and press MENU. This will show the main menu picture which will appear on your television screen. If you do not have a MENU button on your remote control unit, press ALT.

STEP 2. Press the channel buttons up or down on your remote to move the pointer next to PARENTAL CONTROL. Press the ENTER button on your remote, and you will see the parental control screen.

STEP 3a. If you are a first time user, you will need an access code. Use the channel down button to move the pointer next to CHANGE ACCESS CODE.

STEP 3b. Now choose a four digit secret numerical code number of your choice. As an example (1 2 3 4) and type it in.

STEP 3c. You will need to enter your secret code one more time in VERIFY NEW CODE. When you've entered in the code again, press ENTER. This will take you back to the PARENTAL CHANNELS screen.

STEP 4. Once you are at the PARENTAL CHANNELS screen, move the pointer next to ADD CHANNEL and press ENTER. You are now ready to add the channels for parental control.

STEP 5. Enter in as many channels as you would like to control the viewing to. When you have entered all of the channels that you want to control, press the MENU button on your remote control three times to exit the setup program. You will now be back at the cable channel you were watching before you started the parental control process and the channels you selected will be blocked.
